THREAD: Traveling with Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies - Do they melt? TSA rules?Started by OP

Hey everyone, planning a trip soon - mix of flying, road tripping, and some hiking. I take apple cider vinegar gummies daily and don't want to miss them. Do these things melt in heat? What's the deal with TSA - can I carry them in my carry-on? Any storage tips for keeping them fresh while traveling? Thanks!

Med student here - from a biochemical perspective, most gummies have gelatin or pectin bases that can soften around 85-90°F. If you're leaving them in a hot car during a road trip, they might get sticky or lose shape. For planes, TSA allows supplements in carry-ons (they're not liquids), but keep them in original packaging to avoid questions. Pro tip: store in a cool, dark place - maybe a insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if you're hiking in heat.

Night shift worker who travels weird hours here! I've flown with my ACV gummies multiple times - TSA never batted an eye, even when I had them loose in a ziplock (though original bottle is safer). Road trips tho... yeah, left mine in the glovebox once during summer and they turned into a sticky mess. Now I use a small cooler bag. They don't fully melt but get gross. For hiking, I put them in a hard case so they don't get crushed.

Biohacker perspective: optimize your travel protocol. ACV gummies typically contain citric acid and pectin which help stability, but heat degradation can reduce potency. For air travel, TSA compliant if solid (they are). I use vacuum-sealed bags with silica gel packs to prevent moisture absorption during humidity changes. During hikes, keep in an insulated sleeve - temperature fluctuations affect the 'mother' culture benefits. Consider timing your doses around travel disruptions to maintain consistency.
