THREAD: Can I take my B12 gummies with my morning coffee? Safety check!Started by CitrusClaire590

Hey guys, quick question - I've been taking these vitamin B12 gummies every morning to help with my energy levels before hitting the gym. But I usually wash them down with my big cup of coffee. Is that okay? Or should I space them out? Don't wanna mess up the absorption or anything. Thanks!

Good question, CitrusClaire590. According to some studies I've read, caffeine can potentially interfere with B vitamin absorption, including B12. The tannins in coffee might bind to the B12, reducing how much your body actually uses. I'd recommend waiting at least 30-60 minutes between your coffee and B12 gummy to be safe. Also, B12 is water-soluble, so taking it with food might help absorption anyway.

Ooh, I'd definitely avoid combining them! Coffee is so acidic and disruptive to your body's natural rhythms. B12 is best absorbed when your system is calm. Try taking your gummy with a light breakfast instead, maybe some oatmeal or fruit. Herbal tea would be a much gentler companion than coffee if you need something warm. Listen to your body's energy - it knows best!

LOL I've been taking my B12 gummies with coffee for months and I feel fine? Maybe a little jittery sometimes but that's probably the pre-workout. If it works for you, roll with it. But if you're worried, just take the gummy with lunch instead. Weekend warriors don't have time to overthink this stuff!
