THREAD: Found B12 gummies on sale at Costco - too good to be true?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I was at Costco yesterday and saw their Kirkland brand B12 gummies on sale for like half the price of the name brands. Has anyone tried these? Is the lower price just because it's store brand, or does it mean they're using cheaper ingredients? Don't want to compromise on quality but also don't want to overpay if it's the same stuff!

I've actually photographed the ingredients list for both Kirkland and a premium brand for a project once! The main difference I noticed was the sourcing - Kirkland uses synthetic B12 (cyanocobalamin) while some pricier ones use methylcobalamin. Methyl is supposed to be more bioavailable, but both work. Check if they use natural colors/flavors - that's where corners get cut sometimes. The sale might just be clearing old stock!

As a holistic practitioner, I always say: you get what you pay for energetically. Store brands often have more fillers and artificial sweeteners that disrupt gut flora. Look for third-party testing seals - if Kirkland has those, it might be okay temporarily. But for long-term wellness, invest in a clean formula with minimal additives. Your body will thank you!

Paleo perspective here - I avoid gummies generally because of the sugar/starch content, but if you're going to take them, Kirkland's actually not bad. Their B12 gummies have 5g sugar per serving which is lower than many. The price drop could just be bulk buying power. Costco's quality control is decent for supplements in my experience. Just check the label for sneaky grains or soy if you're sensitive.

Sugar-free advocate checking in! Did you see if they have a sugar-free version? Many B12 gummies are loaded with glucose syrup. If the sale is on the regular version, that might explain it - people are waking up to sugar content! If it's the same formula as always, could be a legit steal. But always verify no artificial sweeteners like aspartame if you're going sugar-free route.
