Hey everyone! I tried making my own beauty gummies at home using gelatin, vitamin C powder, and some biotin. But they came out super rubbery and had a weird taste. Any tips for a better recipe or what went wrong?

Hey! The rubbery texture is usually from too much gelatin or not enough liquid. Try adjusting the ratio: use 1/4 cup cold water to bloom 1 tbsp gelatin, then add 1/4 cup hot water. Also, let the mixture cool slightly before molding to avoid breaking down vitamins. For taste, add some fruit juice or natural sweetener like honey.

I second the rubbery issue. Also, if you're using vitamin powder, make sure it's fully dissolved. I like to mix the powder with a bit of warm water before adding to the gelatin. And don't forget to add some citrus juice or lemon zest for flavor – it really masks that vitamin taste!

I keep it simple: just buy quality gummies. But if you're into DIY, try agar instead of gelatin – it sets firmer. Also, use silicone molds and don't overheat the mixture. Keep it cool and quick.

Try one of those digital thermometers to control temp – heat above 100°C can ruin vitamins. I use a sous vide for exact temps. Also, a small immersion blender helps mix evenly. Good luck!
