THREAD: Kids think my beauty gummies are candy - hilarious/terrifying story!Started by OP

So I started taking these collagen beauty gummies for my skin and hair - they're these cute little peach-shaped things. My 4-year-old saw them on the counter yesterday and grabbed the bottle before I could stop him. He popped two in his mouth thinking they were candy! I panicked and called poison control (they said he'd be fine, just watch for stomach upset). The funniest part? He made a disgusted face and said 'Mommy, your candy tastes like vitamins!' ๐ Anyone else have kids or spouses who can't tell the difference?

OMG yes!! My husband did this with my ashwagandha stress gummies last month! He thought they were my 'special CBD treats' (which I keep separately lol). He ate like 5 before realizing they weren't relaxing him at all ๐
Honestly though, this is why I'm such an advocate for proper supplement storage! I keep all mine in a locked cabinet now - safety first! Have you considered switching to powder form? Might be less tempting for little hands ๐

This is exactly why I avoid gummy supplements entirely. Too much sugar and carbs anyway - not keto friendly at all! My kids tried to eat my electrolyte powder once thinking it was candy powder (it's flavored). Now I only use capsules. Way less confusing and better for maintaining ketosis. Have you checked the sugar content on those beauty gummies? Probably loaded with it.

Ugh gummies are the worst! All those additives and gelatin from who-knows-what source. Not paleo at all. My daughter refuses to eat ANY gummy vitamins because she says they're 'slimy' - which, fair. I make her bone broth instead for collagen. Maybe try that? Less candy-like. Glad your kiddo is okay though! Scary moment for sure.

This is why I only take 3 supplements total. Less stuff = less confusion. My wife bought gummy vitamins once and our dog got into them. Vet bill was not minimal. Now we just eat real food. Do you really need beauty gummies? Sunscreen and sleep might be simpler solutions.
