THREAD: My 5-year-old thinks my beauty gummies are candy - help!Started by OP

Okay, so I need to vent and maybe get some advice. I started taking these collagen beauty gummies last month - they're in a cute little jar on my bathroom counter. Yesterday, my 5-year-old daughter sneaks in, grabs a handful, and comes out grinning with orange goo all over her face. She thought they were 'special mommy candy'! I panicked and called poison control (they said she'd be fine, just maybe a sugar rush), but now she keeps asking for more 'sparkle candy.' Has anyone else dealt with kids mistaking supplements for treats? Or am I the only one with a tiny gummy thief?

Oh dear, OP! First, take a deep breath - the universe is sending you a lesson in mindful storage! ๐Ÿ˜Š In my holistic practice, I always remind parents that children are naturally drawn to bright colors and sweet things - it's their innocent nature. Perhaps consider transferring the gummies to a plain, opaque container labeled clearly. You could also involve your daughter in a gentle conversation about how some things are 'grown-up helpers' for our bodies, not treats. Maybe even let her pick out a special jar for YOUR gummies and one for HER snacks? Balance is key!

lol OP i feel you! my husband did something similar with my biotin gummies last year - he ate like half the bottle thinking they were 'hippie jelly beans' after his yoga class. he was fine but had the shiniest hair for weeks ๐Ÿ˜‚. with kids though, maybe try keeping them up high or in a locked cabinet? also, have you tried the sugar-free ones? they might be less appealing as 'candy'. sending calm vibes your way!

OMG this is why I switched to powder supplements years ago! Gummies are such a gateway - I tried the first-gen beauty gummies back in 2018 and my niece would NOT stop begging for them. Texture was also an issue - she called them 'slimy bears' and refused her actual vitamins after that. Maybe try a different delivery method? The new dissolvable beauty strips are game-changers, and no kid mix-ups. Just a thought from someone who's been through every supplement trend!
