Hey everyone! Quick question. I just started taking biotin gummies for my hair and nails, but I also can't function without my morning coffee. Is it safe to take them together? Or should I space them out? Any experiences?

I've been doing that for years, man. Coffee and gummies go down together like a charm. Never had any issues. But I'm not a doc, so maybe check with yours if you're worried. Also, the biotin might not absorb as well if you're drinking coffee with milk? Just a thought.

I read somewhere that caffeine can mess with vitamin absorption, but it's mostly for B vitamins? Biotin is B7, so maybe it could interfere. I'd say take them with water first thing, then wait an hour for coffee. Better safe than sorry. Also, I use a reminder app to keep track.

From a med student perspective: biotin is water-soluble, so taking it with coffee won't cause toxicity. But caffeine might slightly affect absorption, but not enough to matter. The bigger issue is that biotin can interfere with lab tests, so if you're getting blood work done, stop a few days before. Other than that, you're fine. Enjoy your coffee!
