THREAD: My toddler thinks biotin gummies are candy - hilarious/terrifying story!Started by OP

Okay so I need to share this before I lose my mind lol. My 4-year-old found my biotin gummies in the bathroom cabinet yesterday and thought they were 'mommy's special candy.' I caught him with the bottle open and THREE missing! He said 'they taste like strawberries mommy!' I panicked and called poison control - they said he'd be fine since it's just vitamins, but now he keeps asking for more 'strawberry candy' and I'm hiding them in the spice rack. Anyone else have kids (or spouses!) who can't tell the difference??

OMG this is why I always stress child-safe packaging in my wellness content! I had a similar scare with my niece last year - she got into my collagen gummies and ate half the bottle. Now I keep ALL supplements in a locked cabinet (yes, even gummies!). Pro tip: try the sugar-free biotin gummies from Nature's Truth - they're less candy-like and more 'vitamin' tasting. Also, maybe turn it into a teaching moment about 'grown-up vitamins' vs. candy? #SafetyFirst #WellnessJourney

LOL my wife does the opposite - she HATES the texture! Says they're 'too chewy' and refuses to take them. I tried making homemade biotin gummies once (gelatin, biotin powder, fruit juice) but they came out like rubber erasers. Maybe try a different brand? The ones from Olly have a softer texture that might work better if you're dealing with texture-haters. Also, spice rack hiding spot = genius. Might steal that for my good olive oil.

Ugh I feel this. My husband keeps 'forgetting' to take his because 'they're not in my protein shake routine.' I started putting the bottle next to his coffee maker - visual reminder works for busy people. For kids though, maybe try those pill organizer boxes with days of the week? Makes it look less like candy. Also seconding the locked cabinet idea. Gotta run - 6AM meeting in 10!
