Hey everyone, I'm a student on a budget and I just started taking collagen gummies for my skin and joints. I usually have a cup of coffee every morning. Is it safe to take my gummy with coffee? Will it still work? I don't want to waste money if the coffee cancels it out or something. Any help appreciated!

Hey RhinoRich660! From what I've read, there's no direct interaction between collagen and coffee. Caffeine shouldn't degrade collagen. However, some studies suggest that Vitamin C helps with collagen synthesis, so maybe take it with orange juice instead? But coffee is fine. Just make sure you're getting enough vitamin C from other sources. Also, check the gummy's ingredients for any stimulants that might stack with caffeine.

I take my collagen gummies with my morning coffee all the time! Never had any issues. But I'm a caffeine addict so maybe I'm not the best example lol. I will say though, if your gummies have any added herbs or something, check with a doc. But plain collagen? You're good. Coffee doesn't seem to mess with it. I actually feel like it helps me absorb it better? Probably placebo but whatever.

As a fitness pro, I'd say timing matters more than mixing. Collagen is a protein, so if you're taking it with coffee on an empty stomach, it might just get digested quickly. For joint health, I recommend taking it with a meal that has some fat and vitamin C. But coffee won't hurt. Just don't expect miracles if your diet and training aren't on point. Also, check the sugar content in those gummies—some are basically candy.

Thanks for the replies! So it sounds like it's safe. I'll try taking it with coffee and see how it goes. Maybe I'll switch to OJ if I notice anything weird. And KaleKen347, good point about sugar—I picked a brand with low sugar, but I'll double-check. Appreciate the help!
