THREAD: Started collagen gummies for sleep, but WOW my skin is glowing??Started by HubermanHopeful166

Hey everyone, so I started taking these collagen gummies about 3 weeks ago because I heard they might help with sleep quality (I'm a terrible sleeper, always waking up at 3am). Honestly, I haven't noticed much difference in sleep yet, BUT my skin looks amazing?? Like, my forehead wrinkles are less noticeable and my complexion is way smoother. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using the berry-flavored ones from Nature's Bounty - they taste pretty good, not too chalky.

OP, that's fascinating! I make my own collagen peptides powder mix (sourced from grass-fed bovine, mixed with vitamin C for absorption) but never tried gummies. The skin benefits make sense - collagen is building blocks for skin elasticity. Maybe the gummies have other ingredients aiding bioavailability? Check the label for hyaluronic acid or vitamin C. For sleep, you might need to pair with magnesium glycinate - I DIY a sleep gummy with magnesium, melatonin, and lemon balm. Works wonders!

lol same thing happened to me! Started taking collagen gummies last month while working remotely in Bali - thought they'd help with jet lag sleep issues. Sleep's still hit or miss depending on wifi stability 😂 but my skin has never looked better despite the constant travel and questionable hotel pillows. I'm using the Vital Proteins ones - orange flavor, not bad. Easy to pack in my carry-on too. Maybe the skin thing is the real benefit we should all be talking about?

YogurtYuri373 - just checked, mine have vitamin C and hyaluronic acid too! That probably explains it. Your DIY mix sounds intense though haha. RhinoRich128 - glad I'm not alone! The skin improvement is wild. Maybe I'll keep taking them just for that and try something else for sleep. Anyone notice if the effects last if you stop taking them?
