THREAD: Creatine Gummies - Are we just eating candy now?Started by RhinoRich184

Just saw these new creatine gummies at the store and checked the label - 8g of sugar per serving! That's like 2 teaspoons. We're literally candy-fying supplements now. I get convenience, but at what cost? The whole point of supplements is health optimization, not adding unnecessary sugar to our diets. Thoughts?

Finally someone says it! This is exactly what's wrong with modern supplements. Back in my day, we took plain creatine monohydrate powder - no flavors, no sugar, just pure results. These gummies are for people who can't handle the real thing. If you want creatine, take the powder. If you want candy, eat candy. Don't mix them.

Hold up Vince, not everyone wants to deal with messy powders and shakers. I love my creatine gummies! I have a reminder on my smartwatch that buzzes when it's time to take them, and I can just grab a couple from my desk drawer. The sugar content isn't ideal, but the convenience factor is huge for busy people. Plus, the app tracks my daily intake automatically.

Frank, I appreciate the tech integration angle, but let's look at the science. Most studies on creatine use pure monohydrate. We don't have good data on how sugar affects absorption or efficacy. Also, that sugar spike might counteract some of creatine's benefits. Convenience shouldn't come at the expense of effectiveness.

Exactly! And let's talk about cost - those gummies are 3x the price of regular creatine powder. You're paying for marketing and sugar, not better results. If people can't handle the taste of plain creatine (which is basically tasteless btw), mix it with juice. At least you know what you're getting.
