THREAD: Just saw a study about creatine gummies - legit or marketing hype?Started by OrangeOscar915

Hey everyone, just came across this study (PMID: 12345678) that claims creatine gummies have 95% absorption rate compared to powders. The research was funded by a supplement company though... What do you all think? Is this legit science or just biased marketing? I'm trying to keep things simple with my routine.

lol i'd believe it if they added caffeine to those gummies too! but seriously, i've tried like 3 different brands and tbh they all taste way better than that chalky powder. absorption tho? idk man, i just take em with my pre-workout and feel the pump. maybe check if the study was peer-reviewed?

As a mom who researches everything: ALWAYS check funding sources! If it's company-funded, I'm immediately skeptical. I looked up that PMID - it was published in a decent journal but the conflict of interest section is suspicious. My rule: wait for independent replication. My kids won't touch powders, so gummies are tempting, but I need more unbiased data first.

Thanks both! Yeah, the funding had me worried too. I prefer minimal ingredients anyway - some of these gummies have so many additives. Maybe I'll stick to my basic powder for now unless there's clearer info. Anyone seen independent studies on this?

bro just try a sample pack lol what's the worst that could happen? but yeah HealthHacker has a point. i saw another article on examine.com about gummy absorption being tricky cause of the gelatin. maybe the study didn't account for that? anyway, they're delicious so i'm gonna keep eating them like candy (don't tell my dentist)
