THREAD: Traveling with Creatine Gummies - Do They Melt? TSA Rules?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I'm planning a trip that involves flying, some road tripping, and even a bit of hiking. I've been taking creatine gummies for my workouts and don't want to miss my doses. Has anyone traveled with these before? Do they melt in heat? What are TSA rules for supplements like this? Any storage tips would be awesome!

Retired nurse here - I've seen many patients travel with meds/supplements. For gummies, heat is your enemy! They can definitely melt or get sticky if left in a hot car or direct sun. Keep them in your carry-on in a cool, dark place. TSA allows supplements in both carry-on and checked bags, but I'd recommend keeping them with you to avoid temperature extremes in cargo holds. Pro tip: put them in a small ziplock bag just in case they do get gooey!

Meditation rookie chiming in! I actually took my creatine gummies on a silent retreat last month. The key is mindfulness about temperature, man. I kept mine in my daypack's insulated pocket during hikes. For flights, I just put them in my carry-on with my other supplements. TSA didn't even look twice. Maybe try meditating on your intention to maintain your supplement routine while traveling? It helped me stay consistent!

Vegan activist here - first, make sure your creatine gummies are actually vegan! Many contain gelatin from animals. As for travel, I've taken plant-based gummies on flights without issues. TSA treats them like any other supplement. But seriously, check your ingredients - if they're not vegan, this is a great opportunity to switch to a cruelty-free brand that won't melt your conscience along with your gummies.

Biohacker Steve here. Data point: most creatine gummies start to degrade above 86°F. For optimal travel, get a small insulated lunch bag with a freezer pack. TSA allows frozen gel packs if they're frozen solid at security screening. Road trip hack: store them in your cooler. Hiking: keep in a shaded part of your pack. Also, consider switching to creatine monohydrate powder for travel - more stable, same benefits. #optimize
