THREAD: Weird side effect from creatine gummies - anyone else?Started by LemonLiam525

Hey everyone, been taking creatine gummies for about 2 weeks now (the berry blast ones from GummyGains). I've noticed something kinda odd - my dreams have been SUPER vivid, like movie-level detail every night. Not scary or anything, just really intense. I wake up feeling like I just lived another life lol. Has anyone else experienced this with creatine gummies? Is this normal or should I be concerned? My yoga practice has been great energy-wise though!

LemonLiam525 - First off, glad to hear the energy boost is working for your yoga! As a fitness pro, I've seen clients report all sorts of mild side effects with supplements. Vivid dreams aren't super common with creatine specifically, but it could be your body adjusting to better sleep quality from improved recovery. Are you taking them close to bedtime? Might want to shift to morning/afternoon if so. Also check if there's any other ingredients like melatonin or B6 in your brand - those can definitely affect dreams. Keep hydrated!

Dude YES! I had the same thing when I started the mango creatine gummies last month. Wild dreams for like 10 days straight - one time I dreamt I was doing burpees on a floating island while dragons cheered me on 😂 Crossfit brain maybe? It faded after a couple weeks though. My theory: creatine helps with ATP production, maybe it's juicing up your brain during REM sleep too? As long as you're not getting headaches or stomach issues, probably harmless. But if it messes with your sleep quality, maybe lower the dose?

Thanks both! @VitalVince910 I take them after my morning practice, so not near bedtime. Ingredients list just shows creatine monohydrate, pectin, natural flavors - no sleep aids. @NootropicNoah Haha floating island burpees sound intense! Glad to know I'm not alone and it might fade. I'll keep monitoring and maybe track my sleep with my fitness app. Appreciate the reassurance - will keep up with them since my muscle recovery after hot yoga has been noticeably better!
