Weird side effect from creatine gummies? Anyone else?
So I started taking these creatine gummies about a week ago (5g per day, split into two doses). All good so far, but for the last 3 nights I've been having super vivid, crazy dreams. Like, last night I dreamt I was a dolphin swimming through a city made of jello. Woke up actually laughing. It's not unpleasant, just... weird. Anyone else get this? Could it be the creatine or am I just losing it? 😂
Haha, that's wild! I've been using creatine gummies for a couple months (marathon training) and I did notice more vivid dreams at first. I think it's because creatine affects your brain's energy metabolism or something. It faded after a couple weeks. But honestly, enjoy it? Free entertainment lol. Also, how many gummies are you taking? Some brands have a ton of sugar, might be messing with your blood sugar at night. Just a thought.
OMG yes! I thought I was the only one. I started with gummies back in January and had the craziest dreams for like 10 days. Then they stopped. But I also noticed my taste buds changed – coffee tasted weirdly sweet? That went away too. Maybe it's the gelatin or the sweeteners? Or maybe creatine just does something to your brain. Either way, you're not alone. Welcome to the club 😂
Thanks guys, glad I'm not crazy! @ZenZoe457 I'm taking 4 gummies a day (1g each) so 4g total, plus a little from food. The sugar is only 1g per gummy so not too bad. But yeah, maybe it's just an adjustment thing. @IvyIron9 interesting about the taste buds! I haven't noticed that yet but I'll keep an eye out. Did your dreams get less intense over time?
@KaleKen268 Yeah they did. I kinda miss them now lol. But if it keeps bugging you, try taking your last dose earlier in the day. I moved mine to morning and the dreams chilled out. Also make sure you're drinking enough water – creatine pulls water into your cells and dehydration can mess with sleep. Let us know if you turn into a dolphin again 🐬
