THREAD: Elderberry gummies - love the berry blast, hate the tart twist! What's the best flavor to try next?Started by BerryBen356

Hey everyone, need some advice! I've been taking elderberry gummies for immune support during my weekend hikes. I absolutely LOVE the 'Berry Blast' flavor - it's sweet and tastes like real berries. But I tried the 'Tart Twist' version last week and it was awful, way too sour for me. What's the consensus on the best flavor to buy next time? I don't want to waste money on another dud!

BerryBen, I feel you! As a fitness pro, I cycle through different flavors to avoid taste fatigue. Skip anything labeled 'tart' or 'zing' - those are usually too acidic. The 'Mellow Honey' blend is my go-to - it's subtle, not too sweet, and pairs well with my post-workout routine. Have you checked the sugar content on the Berry Blast though? Some brands load them up.

Totally agree with UrbanUma! I'm also a fitness pro and taste matters when you're taking these daily. The 'Mixed Berry Medley' is fantastic - it has a deeper, richer berry flavor without being overpowering. Avoid the 'Citrus Burst' too if you hated Tart Twist; it's in the same sour family. What brand are you using? That might help us give better recs!

Thanks guys! I'm using Nature's Way right now. Good call on checking sugar content, UrbanUma - I'll look at that. CrystalCathy, Mixed Berry Medley sounds promising! Anyone tried the 'Vanilla Berry' one? Saw it at the store but wasn't sure if vanilla would work with elderberry...

Nature's Way Vanilla Berry is decent! It's milder, almost like a berry cream. Not my favorite for intense workouts but good for rest days. If you want to branch out, Sambucus makes a 'Wild Berry' that's similar to Berry Blast but less sugary. Stick with berry-forward flavors since you know you like that profile. Happy supplementing!
