Hey everyone, I was researching fiber gummies for my kids (trying to get them off the sugary stuff) and came across this study: PMID 12345678. It claims inulin in gummies significantly improves gut health in children. Sounds promising, but I'm skeptical - anyone else read it? Could this be biased by supplement companies funding it? My granola senses are tingling...

OP, I checked the study metadata using ResearchGate's API (I built a scraper for this stuff). The funding section lists a 'Nutrition Research Foundation' - quick domain lookup shows they've received grants from gummy manufacturers. Not saying it's fake science, but definitely follow the money. Have you tried tracking your kids' fiber intake with an app? I use MyFitnessPal + a custom spreadsheet.

ugh, processed inulin? That's just another industrial filler IMO. Real fiber comes from whole foods like berries and avocados - our ancestors didn't eat lab-made gummies. That study reeks of big food trying to justify junk. Oscar, have you tried chia pudding for your kids? My toddler devours it (and it's paleo-friendly).

Thanks Frank - that's exactly what I worried about! Mia, I make chia pudding but my 7-year-old calls it 'frog eggs' 😂. Maybe I'll stick to sneaking flax into smoothies. Still curious if anyone's kids actually benefited from fiber gummies despite possible bias?

Data point: My niece uses a fiber gummy with psyllium (not inulin). Her pediatrician recommended it after checking 3 peer-reviewed studies without industry ties. Maybe look for independent research on specific ingredients rather than brand-funded stuff? Also, Oscar - try blending chia seeds into banana 'ice cream' - kids usually can't detect it.
