Hey all, I was scrolling through PubMed and found this study (PMID: 34567890) about psyllium husk fiber gummies and their effect on gut health. The abstract says they improved regularity and bloating in participants over 8 weeks. But I'm skeptical because the study was funded by a supplement company. What do you guys think? Legit or biased? I'm trying to up my fiber game for Crossfit and don't wanna waste cash on gimmicks.

Lol, funded by a supplement company? That's a huge red flag. I'd take it with a grain of salt. I tried fiber gummies once and they gave me the worst gas. Never again. Stick to real food like oats and berries, bro. #gymrat

I actually DIY my own fiber gummies with psyllium and fruit juice. Way cheaper and I control the sugar. That study might have some truth, but like Indigo said, industry-funded research can be sketchy. Check if they used a placebo and if the results were statistically significant. Also, check if the gummies had enough fiber per serving – most have like 3g, which is nothing. You'd need like 10 gummies to get a decent amount. Not worth it IMO.

Thanks for the input. I looked deeper and the study had a small sample size (n=30) and no control group. So yeah, probably biased. I'll just stick to my Metamucil. Appreciate the DIY tip though, Quinn! Might try that for fun.
