THREAD: Found kids gummies on sale at Costco - too good to be true?Started by OP

Hey everyone, was at Costco yesterday and saw their store-brand kids multivitamin gummies marked down to like half price. Normally I get the name brand stuff but this deal seems insane. Anyone know if cheaper = lower quality ingredients? Or is this just a steal I should stock up on? My kids go through these things like candy anyway lol.

OP, I feel you on the price thing. I'm always chugging energy drinks and buying bulk caffeine pills, so I get wanting to save cash. Honestly, with supplements, sometimes store brands are made in the same factories as the expensive ones. Check the label - if the vitamin amounts match up and there's no weird fillers, might be worth it. But if it tastes like cardboard, kids won't eat them anyway, so maybe grab one bottle to test first?

As a mom, I'm super skeptical about this stuff. I've tried cheaper gummies before and my kids either hated the texture or they had way too much sugar. Costco's brand might be okay, but I'd compare the nutrition labels side-by-side with your usual brand. Also, check for artificial colors - some budget ones use those and I avoid them. Sales can be legit though, especially if they're clearing out old stock. Did you notice an expiration date?

Tech guy here - I literally scanned the barcode on my phone last time I saw a sale like this. Used a price comparison app and found out the Costco ones are actually manufactured by a major supplier, just rebranded. The specs were nearly identical to the premium brand, minus some 'natural flavor' marketing. If you've got a smartphone, try that! Also, maybe check online reviews for that specific product. Sometimes lower price just means less fancy packaging, not worse quality.
