Just saw this article and thought I should share here since we talk about kids' supplements a lot. # Warning Issued Over Kids' Magnesium Supplement Gummies A recent safety alert has highlighted a critical issue for parents and caregivers who rely on children's dietary supplements. The warning centers on specific magnesium gummy products that may contain inaccurate dosing or contaminants. Has anyone else seen this? What are your thoughts on magnesium supplements for kids generally?

Thanks for sharing OP! I've been researching this all morning. The issue seems to be with some brands using poor quality magnesium sources that can cause digestive upset or even toxicity in high doses. My advice: always check for third-party testing seals (like NSF or USP) and stick to reputable brands. My kids take magnesium glycinate from a trusted company - no gummies though, we use liquid drops. Gummies often have extra sugar and fillers anyway!

Ugh, not surprised tbh. The supplement industry needs better regulation. My niece had stomach issues from some cheap magnesium gummies last year. We switched her to whole foods high in magnesium - pumpkin seeds, spinach, bananas. Sometimes the simplest solution is best! But I know picky eaters make that hard. Anyone have experience with magnesium baths for kids instead of supplements?

Wow this is concerning! I give my 6-year-old magnesium gummies occasionally when she's constipated or having growing pains. They're from a big brand at Whole Foods though... should I stop? Maybe I'll switch to epsom salt baths like Greg mentioned. Do we know which specific brands are problematic? The article should name names!

As a runner with kids who are active in sports, magnesium is important for muscle function. But quality matters! I teach my kids' soccer team about proper nutrition - real food first, supplements only when needed and from trusted sources. The gummy format worries me because kids might think they're candy and take too many. Good reminder to keep all supplements locked up!
