Sleep Week deals on gummies - good for kids or just hype?
Hey all, saw this article about Sleep Week supplement deals and thought of you guys. My wife is always looking for ways to help our kids sleep better, and these gummies are on sale. But I'm skeptical - do they actually work? I'm a marathon runner so I know a thing or two about recovery, but kids' sleep is a whole different ballgame. Any experiences? Link: [article]
I've tried melatonin gummies for myself during my fasting windows (yeah, I know, not kids), and they helped a bit but left me groggy. For kids, I'd be careful. My sister gives her 6-year-old those Zarbee's ones and says they knock him out, but I worry about long-term. Also, during Sleep Week, check the ingredients - some have artificial stuff. Anyone know if the discounts are worth it?
As an eco-warrior, I'm always wary of supplements with unnecessary packaging and artificial additives. But I did see that some brands like Hiya and Renzo's have cleaner ingredients. My kids take a magnesium gummy from a local brand and it seems to help. During Sleep Week, I might stock up if they're plastic-free. But honestly, nothing beats a good bedtime routine. These deals can be tempting, but read labels!
Thanks for the input! I'll definitely check labels. My wife is all about the sales, but I'd rather spend a bit more for quality. Anyone tried the Olly kids sleep gummies? They're on sale at Target.
Olly ones are decent, but they have melatonin. For kids, I'd start with half a dose. Also, make sure they're not habit-forming. My nephew got dependent on them for a while. Maybe try chamomile tea first? Just my two cents.
