THREAD: Weird but harmless side effect from kids gummies? Anyone else?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I started giving my 7-year-old those berry-flavored kids gummy vitamins about a month ago, and something odd happened. Her pee has been turning bright yellow—like neon almost! It's not painful or anything, and she feels fine, but it's definitely noticeable. Has anyone else's kid experienced this? Should I be worried or is it just the vitamins doing their thing? Thanks!

Oh wow, that's interesting! As a nature photographer, I've seen some wild colors in plants and animals, but neon pee is a new one lol. My niece had something similar with a different brand—her mom said it was from the riboflavin (vitamin B2) in the gummies. It's water-soluble and harmless, just makes things... vibrant. Maybe check the label? If it's just that, probably nothing to stress over. Still, keep an eye out for any other changes!

Hi! Wellness influencer here—I've reviewed tons of gummies, and this is super common! Bright yellow urine is usually from excess B vitamins, especially B2 or B12, which your body doesn't store and just flushes out. It's totally harmless, but if you're concerned, you could try a lower-dose brand or switch to a different formulation. Also, make sure she's drinking enough water! Dehydration can make it more intense. Hope that helps!

Fascinating! As a yoga instructor, I'm all about mind-body awareness, and this reminds me of a student who mentioned vivid dreams after taking certain supplements. For the pee thing, I agree with the others—it's likely just the B vitamins. Maybe try a brand with no artificial colors too? Sometimes additives can play a role. If it persists or she shows other symptoms, maybe chat with a doc, but sounds like it's just a quirky side effect. Deep breaths!
