Kai Trump's Erewhon haul - liquid vitamins worth the hype?
Hey all, saw this article about Kai Trump's Erewhon shopping spree and had to share. She bought a bunch of liquid vitamins and supplements. Here's the link: [link]. The article breaks down everything she bought and how much it cost. I'm curious what you all think about liquid vitamins in general. Are they really better than pills? I've always been a bit skeptical, but seeing a celebrity (even a young one) buying them makes me wonder if I'm missing out. Thoughts?
Liquid vitamins can be a game-changer if you have absorption issues. I switched to liquid B12 and D3 a while back and noticed a big difference in energy. But you have to be careful with quality – some brands are just sugar water with a few vitamins sprinkled in. Erewhon probably carries the good stuff, but you're paying a premium. What did she buy exactly? I don't want to click the link lol.
Man, I wish I could afford to shop at Erewhon. I checked out the article and she bought like a $60 bottle of liquid multivitamin. That's insane. I'll stick to my caffeine pills and call it a day. But seriously, are liquid vitamins any better? I've heard they absorb faster, but isn't that just because they're already dissolved? Your stomach acid will break down pills anyway. Unless you have a specific condition, I think it's mostly marketing fluff.
Thanks for the input, both. @DewyDaphne86, the article lists a few things: a liquid multivitamin, a liquid omega-3, and some kind of liquid collagen. The prices are pretty high. @EarthElias438, I get what you're saying about marketing. I did some quick research (librarian habit) and there are studies showing liquid vitamins can have higher bioavailability for certain nutrients, but it varies. For most people, a standard pill is fine if it's from a reputable brand. But if you have digestive issues, liquid might be worth it. I'm still on the fence.
Bioavailability is key. I think the main advantage is for people with malabsorption issues. But for the average person, it's not necessary. Also, liquid vitamins often need refrigeration and have a shorter shelf life. I'd rather spend my money on a good quality pill and save the rest for actual food. That Erewhon haul is more about status than health, IMO. But hey, if you have the cash and want to try it, go for it. Just don't expect miracles.
