Hey all, I just started taking magnesium gummies before bed to help with sleep and muscle cramps. But I'm also a coffee addict – I usually have a cup in the afternoon. Anyone know if it's safe to take these gummies with coffee? Like, would it cancel out the effects or something? I'm a bit skeptical about mixing supplements with stimulants.

I feel you on the coffee addiction! But honestly, the timing matters more than the combo. Magnesium is best absorbed away from caffeine, so I'd suggest spacing them out – like take your gummies a few hours after your last coffee. Also, some magnesium forms are more calming, so if you're taking citrate or glycinate, it might help counteract the jitters. But taste-wise? These gummies are so good I almost want to eat them with my espresso. 😂

From a biohacking perspective, caffeine can interfere with magnesium absorption, but it's not dangerous. You might just not get the full benefit. I actually do the opposite – I take my magnesium gummies with my morning coffee because it helps me focus without the anxiety. But I also use a high-quality glycinate, so that might make a difference. Experiment and see how you feel! Just don't take them at the exact same time – give it at least an hour.

I'm an intermittent faster, so I usually have coffee in the morning and then my magnesium gummies in the evening after my eating window. I've never had an issue, but I also make sure to get enough electrolytes. If you're worried about the combo, just take them at different times. Also, check if your gummy has any other ingredients that might interact with caffeine – some have melatonin which would be a bad mix with coffee.
