THREAD: Traveling with Magnesium Gummies - Do they melt? TSA rules?Started by OP

Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip that involves flying, a road trip, and some hiking. I rely on my magnesium gummies for sleep and muscle recovery. Has anyone traveled with these before? Do they melt in heat? What about TSA rules for supplements? Any storage tips would be awesome!

Great question! As a wellness influencer, I travel constantly with my supplement stack. Magnesium gummies CAN melt if left in hot cars or direct sun - I learned that the hard way in Arizona! TSA is generally fine with them in carry-ons (they're not liquids), but I recommend keeping them in original packaging to avoid questions. Pro tip: Use a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if you'll be in extreme heat. Also check if your brand uses gelatin or pectin - pectin-based ones hold up better!

omg yes! Paleo road tripper here. My magnesium gummies got all sticky during a summer hike last year. Now I always put them in a ziplock inside my cooler. TSA has never stopped me, but I keep the bottle visible in my bag just in case. For hiking, I portion them into daily packs so I'm not carrying the whole bottle. Make sure they're sugar-free if you're watching carbs like me!

Skeptical mom here - are you sure you need these while traveling? My kids' gummy vitamins turned into a gooey mess at the beach once. If you must bring them, keep them in the coolest part of your bag, maybe with those little silica gel packets to absorb moisture. And honestly, consider capsules for travel - less mess, same benefits. TSA might be fine, but I'd check their website to be safe rather than sorry!
