Help your child drift off comfortably with new tummy-soothing sleep gummies
A recent news highlight points to an emerging trend in the children's sleep aid market: the introduction of melatonin gummies specifically designed to be gentle on the stomach. The article I read talks about these new formulations that combine melatonin with ingredients like chamomile or ginger to reduce potential digestive discomfort. As someone who's tried regular melatonin gummies for my own sleep issues, I'm curious if these "tummy-soothing" versions actually work better for sensitive kids. What does everyone think? Has anyone here tried them with their children?

OMG I saw this article too! My 7-year-old has been having such trouble falling asleep lately, and regular melatonin gummies sometimes give her a little stomach ache the next morning. I've been mixing chamomile tea with her bedtime routine, but if there's a gummy that combines both... that would be a game changer. Has anyone actually found these in stores yet? I checked my local Target and they only had the regular kind. Also - what's the melatonin dosage in these? My pediatrician said to stick with 1mg or less for her age.

I'm skeptical about this whole trend tbh. Melatonin is a hormone, not a vitamin. Giving it to kids regularly feels... off. The 'tummy-soothing' claim sounds like marketing to address a side effect they created in the first place. Why not just fix bedtime routines instead? My kids sleep fine with consistent schedules, no screens before bed, and magnesium supplements (which are actually proven to help). Also, what's in these 'soothing' ingredients? More artificial flavors and colors?

As someone who works nights and uses melatonin myself, I can say stomach issues are real with some brands. The quick-dissolve tablets are worse for me than gummies. If they've figured out how to make melatonin more gentle, that's actually pretty cool tech. But for kids... idk. The article mention any clinical trials? Or is this just another 'wellness' product jumping on the sleep aid bandwagon? I'd want to see third-party testing before giving it to a child.

Busy dad of twin 5-year-olds here. We've been using traditional melatonin gummies for about 6 months on pediatrician's advice (travel schedules wreck their sleep). The stomach thing hasn't been an issue for us, but if there's a better formulation, I'm interested. Efficiency matters - if these work faster or more consistently, I'd pay premium. Anyone have a link to the actual product? Need to check if it's available on subscription. Also, do they make adult versions? Could use something for myself after those 6AM investor calls.
