THREAD: Traveling with Melatonin Gummies - Do They Melt? TSA Rules?Started by UpliftUrsula662

Hey everyone! I'm planning a big trip next month - flying to Colorado for some hiking, then road tripping through the mountains. I rely on my melatonin gummies to sleep well, especially with time zone changes. But I'm worried about transporting them. Do these things melt in heat? What about TSA rules - can I just toss them in my carry-on? And any storage tips for keeping them fresh during long hikes? Would love to hear your experiences!

Great question! As someone who's been taking gummy supplements for years, I can tell you that yes, melatonin gummies absolutely can melt. I learned this the hard way on a road trip through Arizona - left them in the glove compartment and came back to a sticky mess. For travel, I always use a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if I'll be in hot conditions. As for TSA, I've never had issues with melatonin gummies in my carry-on - they're treated like any other supplement. Just keep them in their original container if possible.

I've got the perfect gadget solution! I use a mini portable refrigerator for my supplements when traveling. It's USB-powered, so I can charge it in the car or with a power bank. For flights, I put my gummies in a vacuum-sealed bag inside a thermal pouch - keeps them stable even if my luggage gets hot in cargo. Also, check the TSA app - they have a 'What Can I Bring?' feature that confirms supplements are fine. Pro tip: take a photo of the ingredient label in case anyone asks!

OMG the melting thing is real! I once had my favorite cherry-flavored melatonin gummies turn into a gooey blob during a summer festival. Ruined the texture completely - they became way too sweet and lost that perfect chew. For travel now, I use individual dose packs and keep them in the coolest part of my bag. If you're hiking, maybe wrap them in foil and put them next to your water bladder? The cold water might help. And definitely don't leave them in a hot car!
