THREAD: DIY Multivitamin Gummies - My batch turned into goo! Help!Started by OP

Hey everyone, first time trying to make my own multivitamin gummies at home. I used gelatin and mixed in some vitamin C and B-complex powders. Followed a basic gummy recipe online, but instead of setting firm, they came out super sticky and kinda melted at room temp. Anyone have tips for getting the right texture? Also, how do you make sure the vitamins don't clump up in the mix? Thanks!

Oh no, sticky gummies are the worst! I've made fruit gummies before, and texture is everything. For vitamins, you gotta mix the powder into a tiny bit of warm water or juice first to dissolve it completely before adding to your gelatin mix. Otherwise, it clumps and messes with the set. Also, maybe up your gelatin ratio? And add a splash of lemon juice or citric acid—it helps with firmness AND gives a nice tangy kick! Let me know if you want my berry-flavored recipe base, it's a game-changer for taste.

Blessings, friend! I applaud your DIY spirit—so much purer than store-bought. Have you considered agar agar instead of gelatin? It's plant-based and sets firmer, plus it aligns with holistic wellness. For clumping, I blend my vitamin powders with a bit of honey or maple syrup first; it binds smoothly. Also, ensure your mixture isn't too hot when adding vitamins—heat can degrade nutrients. Maybe add some elderberry or turmeric for extra healing vibes? Sending positive energy for your next batch!

Haha, this takes me back to my childhood trying to make gummy worms in the 90s—lots of gooey fails! BerryBen's tip on pre-dissolving vitamins is spot on. Also, don't rush the cooling; let them set in the fridge overnight. For nostalgia's sake, I'd throw in some fun shapes with molds (stars or bears!). If you're using gelatin, make sure it's fully bloomed in cold liquid first. Keep experimenting—my first batches were disasters, but now I whip 'em up like a pro. Share pics if you get it right!
