Just read this article about the best multivitamins for teens in 2026, and it got me thinking... Gummies are so popular with teens, but are they actually effective? I've seen some brands with tons of sugar, and others that claim to be 'clean'. What do you all think? Here's the link: [link]

Honestly, I'm skeptical. My teen son used to take gummy vitamins, but I felt like he was just eating candy. I switched him to pills and he actually absorbs them better? Plus, I read that gummies can lose potency over time. But I guess if they get teens to take vitamins, maybe it's better than none?

As a grandparent, I worry about the sugar content in those gummies. My granddaughter loves them, but I check the labels carefully. Some have as much sugar as a candy bar! I prefer the ones sweetened with natural stuff like stevia. But hey, if they help with missing nutrients, I'm all for it as long as it's in moderation.

From a medical perspective, gummies can be okay, but you have to look at the form of nutrients. Some chewables are actually better absorbed, like certain minerals. But the sugar issue is real. I'd recommend looking for brands that use sugar alcohols or natural sweeteners. Also, check for third-party testing. But if a teen hates pills, gummies are better than nothing. Just don't overdo it.
