THREAD: Can I take NAC gummies with my morning coffee? Safety & effectiveness questionStarted by YogaYara380

Hey everyone! I've been taking NAC gummies for about a month now (the organic, plant-based ones from GreenLife) and I'm wondering about timing. I usually have my morning coffee right after breakfast, and that's when I take my supplements. Is it safe to combine NAC gummies with coffee? I'm trying to support my respiratory health naturally, but don't want to mess with absorption or cause any issues. Thanks eco-friends!

First off - are your NAC gummies sugar-free? Most gummies are loaded with corn syrup and artificial sweeteners that completely undermine the health benefits. As for coffee - I take my sugar-free NAC gummies with black coffee every morning and haven't had issues. But I space them out by 30 mins because caffeine can affect absorption. The real question is what's IN your gummies - check those ingredients!

lol Pete always with the sugar police! I take the berry-flavored NAC gummies (they taste amazing btw) with my cold brew every day. No problems here! Actually, I find the coffee helps wash down the gummy texture. My advice: if it tastes good together and you feel fine, you're probably good. But maybe don't take them RIGHT together - give it like 15 minutes? The citrus notes in my gummies actually pair nicely with coffee notes.

I'm new to both NAC and meditation (trying to reduce stress), so I asked my wellness coach about this! She said taking NAC with coffee is generally safe, but the caffeine might reduce some of the calming effects NAC can have. She suggested I take NAC after my morning meditation instead, with just water. Maybe try that if you're using it for stress support? But for just physical health, coffee is probably fine.

Thanks everyone! Pete - mine are sweetened with organic agave, so I think we're good on the sugar front. Greg - interesting point about the calming effects! I do use NAC partly for stress, so maybe I'll try taking them post-meditation instead. Mike - glad to hear you haven't had issues! I think I'll experiment with spacing them out from my coffee. Appreciate all the eco-conscious perspectives!
