NAC gummies on the go? TSA, melting, and hiking storage?

Hey all, I'm going on a 2-week road trip + some hiking and I take NAC gummies daily for lung support (paleo-ish diet, but these have a little sugar). I'm worried they'll melt in the car or get confiscated by TSA. Any tips? Also, do they need to be refrigerated? I usually keep them in my pantry.

Ooh, I feel you! I took my NAC gummies on a plane last month and they were fine in my carry-on. TSA didn't even blink—they're just gummies, not liquids. But I will say, if you're hiking in heat, they can get sticky and clump. I'd suggest a small cooler bag or just keep them in your backpack's side pocket away from direct sun. Also, check the label—some brands say 'store below 77°F' so a hot car is a no-no.

I'm a marathon runner and I always travel with supplements. For TSA, as long as they're solid (not liquid or gel), you're good. I put mine in a clear zip bag with other snacks just in case. Melting: yeah, they can melt if it's really hot. I've had gummies turn into a blob in my car during summer. My trick: freeze them before a long drive, or use an insulated lunch bag with a small ice pack. For hiking, I transfer a few to a tiny silicone container so they don't get crushed. Works like a charm!

Eco-warrior here! Just a heads up—those little silicone containers are great, but make sure they're BPA-free and ideally made from recycled materials. Also, if you're flying, TSA might question powders or gels, but gummies are generally fine. I've never had an issue. As for melting, I've found that keeping them in a dark, cool part of your bag helps. And if they do melt, you can reshape them in the fridge—still works, just ugly. Safe travels!

Thanks, everyone! I'll grab a small insulated bag and maybe freeze them before the drive. Good to know TSA is chill. I'll also check the label for storage temp. You guys are the best!
