NAC supplements are turning into candy – is nothing sacred?!

I've been taking NAC for my lungs for years, but lately every brand I find is loaded with sugar or sucralose. It's like they're trying to turn supplements into candy. I'm 72 and I don't need my daily pill to taste like a gummy bear. What happened to plain capsules? Is anyone else fed up with this 'candy-fication'? I want purity, not a dessert.

I get where you're coming from, but honestly, I don't have time to swallow a handful of horse pills every morning. The gummy NAC from [Brand] is a lifesaver – I can take it with my coffee and go. Yeah, it's got some sugar, but it's like 2g. Big deal. Convenience wins for me. Plus, my doctor said it's fine. Maybe you're overthinking it?

I feel you, Elias! As a wellness coach, I always recommend capsule forms for NAC because gummies often have fillers and sweeteners that can cause inflammation. But I also get that people want taste. Have you tried looking for NAC in liposomal form? It's more bioavailable and usually no added sugar. Also, check out brands that use stevia or monk fruit – they're more natural. Balance is key, but I lean towards purity for sure. 💊✨

Ugh, the sugar isn't even the worst part – it's the plastic waste from all those gummy bottles and blister packs! Plus, the sugar often comes from GMO corn or unsustainable sources. I switched to a bulk powder NAC and just cap my own. Takes a few minutes but saves money and the planet. For those who want convenience, at least choose a brand with recyclable packaging and no artificial junk. We vote with our dollars!

Thanks for the tips, Cathy and Ellen. I'll look into the powder. Ken, I hear you on time, but I worry about long-term sugar intake. Maybe there's a middle ground – a low-sugar gummy? But I haven't found one yet. Guess I'll stick to capsules for now. Appreciate the discussion!
