THREAD: Amarin stock news - what does this mean for Omega-3 supplements?Started by OP

Hey everyone, just saw this article about Amarin (the company behind prescription Omega-3 meds) and wanted to share. Their stock just passed above the 200-day moving average, which some investors see as a bullish sign. The article says: "Shares of Amarin Corporation PLC (NASDAQ: AMRN), the biopharmaceutical company behind the prescription O..." What do you all think? Does this signal more interest in Omega-3 products overall, or just pharmaceutical stuff? Curious about the community's thoughts!

Interesting post OP! As a wellness influencer, I've been tracking the Omega-3 space closely. Amarin's prescription Vascepa is basically high-dose EPA (one type of Omega-3), and its success definitely validates the cardiovascular benefits of Omega-3s. But here's my take: this stock move might reflect investor confidence in clinical evidence, which trickles down to consumer supplements too. I've seen more people asking about Omega-3 gummies lately—especially for heart health. Still, prescription vs. over-the-counter is a big diff. Anyone switching from gummies to prescriptions?

Thanks for sharing this, OP. As a grandparent, I'm always concerned about what's safe and effective for my family. My grandkids take Omega-3 gummies for brain development, but I worry about the quality. If big pharma companies like Amarin are pushing prescription versions, does that mean regular gummies aren't strong enough? Should I ask my doctor about prescriptions instead? Also, what's a 'moving average'—sounds like stock market stuff, but does it affect the supplements we buy?

Hey all, amateur chef here jumping in. I use Omega-3 gummies to supplement since I don't eat enough fish (busy cooking for others, lol). This stock news is cool, but I'm more practical—does it mean Omega-3 gummies might get cheaper or better formulated? Maybe more brands will pop up? Also, has anyone tried incorporating Omega-3 oils into recipes? I experimented with flaxseed in smoothies, but gummies are easier for my kids. Thoughts on cooking with Omega-3s vs. just taking gummies?

Meditation rookie here, so I'm all about calm and clarity. Omega-3 gummies are part of my daily routine for mental focus—I take them before my sessions. This Amarin news feels a bit corporate and stressful, tbh. Can we keep the convo grounded in personal wellness? Like, how do Omega-3s actually make you feel? For me, less brain fog. Maybe the stock stuff means more research, which is good, but let's not forget the human side. Anyone else notice mood or focus improvements with gummies?
