Costco Omega-3 Gummies on Sale: Too Good to Be True?
So I was at Costco today and saw a huge discount on their Kirkland Omega-3 gummies. Like, half the price of the usual brand I buy. I'm tempted to stock up, but I'm wondering if the lower price means they're using lower quality fish oil or something. Anyone tried these? Is it a steal or should I pass?
I've been buying those Kirkland ones for a while now. They're actually pretty decent, I think. The price drop might be because they're discontinuing the line or a seasonal promo. I'm a sleep-deprived parent, so I don't have time to overthink this stuff. If it's cheap, I grab it. My kids even like the taste.
Ah, Costco deals! Reminds me of the good old days when I used to blog about supplement hauls. I'd say check the label for the EPA/DHA amounts. Sometimes cheaper means they've added more fillers or less omega-3. But if the numbers are comparable, you're probably fine. Also, look for third-party testing seals. Those Kirkland ones usually have some certification, but always double-check.
I'm another sleep-deprived parent, and I just bought those last week. They were on sale, so I got three bottles. I compared the nutrition facts with my old brand, and the omega-3 content is the same, but they have fewer calories and less sugar. So I'm happy. Plus, no fishy burps, which is a win for me.
