My kid thought the Omega-3 gummies were candy and ate half the bottle!

Okay, so I bought the new omega-3 gummies for my kids, and I left the bottle on the counter for two minutes while I answered the phone. When I came back, my 5-year-old had eaten like 10 of them! He said they tasted like "fruity candy" and hid the bottle behind the toaster. I freaked out, called poison control, they said he'd be fine but might have a tummy ache. Now I have to hide them in the back of the cupboard. Anyone else have this problem? #gummymoments

Ha! That's classic. My wife did the same thing with my omega-3 gummies - she thought they were peach rings. She ate half the bottle and then complained about the "weird aftertaste." I told her it was fish oil, not fruit. She was not amused. But seriously, I keep mine in a locked box now. Gummies are too convincing!

Oh no! That's a bit scary but also kind of funny. I always keep my supplements in a high cabinet, out of reach. But I also have a story: my son refused to eat the omega-3 gummies because they had a "soft" texture. He said they felt like "slime." I tried to tell him they were like fruit snacks, but he wasn't having it. So I had to switch to the chewable tablets - which he also hates. Picky eater problems!

I feel you! As a fitness pro, I've seen clients do the exact same thing. The gummies are too tasty - they need to add a warning label or something. My advice: treat them like medication. Keep them in a separate container maybe with a child-proof lid, and always store them high. Also, check the serving size - those small bottles can pack a lot of omega-3, and too much can cause some stomach upset. But hey, at least your kids are getting their omega-3s... accidentally!

BioBob, your wife's story made me laugh! EcoEllen, my youngest also hates the texture - he says they're "slimy" too. I think it's because they get sticky in the container. Maybe I should try the tablets for him. Vibe, good tip about the child-proof lid - I'll try that. Thanks everyone! Now I know I'm not alone in this gummy chaos.
