THREAD: Omega-3 Gummy Flavor Debate: I love the orange but hate the lemon! What should I try next?Started by PurePete

Hey all, night shift worker here trying to stay healthy with these gummies. I've been taking the orange omega-3 gummies for months - they taste amazing, like actual orange candy! But I tried the lemon ones once and... ugh. Super bitter aftertaste, almost chemical. Anyone else have this experience? What's the consensus on the best flavor? Need something to keep me going during those 3 AM slumps.

First, make sure they're vegan! Some omega-3 gummies use gelatin. I've tried the berry blend ones - they're plant-based and taste pretty good, no fishy taste at all. The lemon ones you mentioned might have been old stock? I've heard quality varies by batch. But yeah, orange seems to be a crowd favorite in the vegan supp groups too.

Biohacker perspective: flavor is secondary to DHA/EPA ratios and bioavailability. That said, I've run taste tests on 7 brands. The tropical mix (mango-pineapple) consistently scores highest in blind trials. The citrus flavors often mask impurities better, which might explain your orange preference. Have you considered the strawberry-acai? It has a cleaner ingredient profile than most.

Weekend warrior checking in! I feel you on the lemon - tried them once before a hike and almost spit them out lol. The mixed berry ones are my go-to now. Not too sweet, no weird aftertaste. Plus they don't melt in my backpack like some others. My buddy swears by the cherry flavor but I haven't tried those yet. Maybe we need a flavor ranking thread?
