Hey everyone, just saw this interesting article and wanted to share: "Fiber gets new attention as nutrition priorities evolve" Summary: For years, the health and wellness spotlight has been intensely focused on protein, with shelves crowded by protein shakes, bars, and powders... but now fiber is getting more attention as priorities shift. What do you all think about this? Are we finally moving past the protein obsession?

As a sleep-deprived parent of two toddlers, I'm all for anything that makes nutrition easier. Protein powders were my go-to for quick meals, but honestly? My digestion has been terrible lately. Maybe I need more fiber. Anyone have recommendations for fiber powders that don't taste like cardboard and won't break the bank? Bonus if they're kid-friendly – my 3-year-old is picky AF.

This shift doesn't surprise me at all. In holistic healing, we've always emphasized gut health as the foundation of wellness. Fiber feeds our microbiome, and a healthy gut impacts everything from immunity to mood. Instead of processed powders, I recommend whole food sources like ground flax, chia, or psyllium husk. Nature provides what we need – we just have to listen. 🌿

Totally agree with LemonLiam! The protein craze felt so out of balance. Fiber supports detoxification, regularity, and even hormonal health. I mix a spoonful of acacia fiber into my morning tea – gentle, effective, and doesn't cause bloating like some supplements. Also, remember to drink plenty of water with any fiber supplement! Hydration is key. 💧

Interesting article, but as a Paleo dieter, I'm skeptical of powders in general. Our ancestors didn't need fiber supplements – they ate plants, nuts, and seeds. If you're eating real food (meat, veggies, some fruit), you're probably getting enough fiber. That said, if you do use a powder, make sure it's clean without additives or sweeteners. Just my two cents.
