THREAD: Mixing my daily gummy with coffee - bad idea or fine?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I take a multivitamin gummy every morning with breakfast. Lately I've been wondering if it's okay to take it with my coffee instead of food. Sometimes I'm in a rush and just have coffee. Is there any issue with the caffeine or acidity affecting the vitamins? Anyone tried this?

OP, good Q. Caffeine can interfere with absorption of some minerals like iron and calcium - check your gummy's label. Also, heat from hot coffee might degrade certain vitamins. I'd recommend taking it with a cold beverage or 30min apart. Personally, I stack my gummy with L-theanine for synergy, but coffee requires timing. Biohack tip: track your energy levels if you combine them.

Honestly, why risk it? Most gummies are just sugar and filler anyway. Coffee might break down whatever little actual vitamin is in there. Save your money and eat real food. If you're relying on a gummy for nutrients, you're doing it wrong. Just drink your coffee and have an orange later.

Consider the environmental impact too! Coffee production has a big footprint, and many gummies use gelatin from questionable sources. If you must combine, choose organic, fair-trade coffee and a plant-based gummy. But really, try herbal tea instead - gentler on your system and the planet. I take my vegan gummy with chamomile, works great.

Thanks all! HealthHacker497, I'll check the label and maybe space them out. PlantPat430, I get your point but the gummy helps me remember. TendonTom918, I hadn't thought about the sourcing - good call. Maybe I'll stick to taking it with my oatmeal like before, just was curious. Appreciate the input!
