Hey all, just came across this article and thought it was interesting given our discussions about supplements vs whole foods. Here's the link and summary:
"# The Tofu Era Is Upon Us: How This Ancient Protein Is Redefining Clean Eating
A notable shift is occurring in the wellness and nutrition landscape, driven by a growing consumer preference for whole, minimally processed foods. The article talks about how tofu and other traditional plant proteins are making a comeback as people move away from heavily processed options."
What do you guys think? Are we going to see more of this 'back to basics' approach affecting the supplement industry too?

Interesting timing OP! I've actually been cutting back on my protein powders lately and adding more whole food sources like tofu and tempeh to my diet. The powders are convenient post-workout, but I've noticed I feel better overall when I get more of my protein from actual food. That being said, my gummy vitamins are still non-negotiable - way easier than trying to remember a handful of pills!

As someone who works nights, I'm all about convenience. Tofu's great and all, but when I'm getting home at 3am after a 10-hour shift, I'm not exactly in the mood to cook. That's where my protein powders and gummy supplements save me - quick shake and some vitamins, and I'm good. Maybe I'll try adding tofu to my meal prep on days off though.

From a paleo perspective, tofu is a no-go (soybeans are legumes, which we avoid). But I totally get the whole 'back to basics' movement. That's why I prefer collagen peptides from grass-fed sources over synthetic supplements. The article's right about people wanting less processed options - I think we'll see more clean, simple supplement formulas as this trend grows.

Tom - totally feel you on the convenience factor! Maybe try the pre-marinated baked tofu from Trader Joe's? It's ready to eat straight from the package. Zack - interesting point about paleo avoiding soy. Do you take any plant-based supplements, or do you stick to animal sources for everything?
