THREAD: My prenatal gummies look weird - are they still safe?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I'm a bit worried about my prenatal gummies. I've been taking them for about a month, but I just opened a new bottle and they look different. Some have white spots on them (like sugar bloom?), others are sticking together in clumps, and a few feel harder than usual. They're not expired - date is still good. Has anyone else had this happen? Are they still safe to eat? I don't want to waste them but I'm pregnant so I'm extra cautious.

Hi OP! First, congratulations on your pregnancy! 🌿 As a holistic healer, I'd say trust your intuition here. Those changes could be from moisture or temperature fluctuations during storage. The white spots are likely just sugar crystallization - harmless but might affect taste. However, if they're getting hard or clumping, the nutrients might degrade. Personally, I'd switch to a fresh bottle and maybe consider whole-food prenatal options instead of processed gummies. Your body deserves the best during this sacred time!

lol i travel constantly as a digital nomad and my gummies ALWAYS do this in humid climates. sticking together is the worst - i have to pry them apart. the white stuff is just sugar bloom like Liam said. totally safe but might taste weird. pro tip: store them with a silica gel packet if you can find one. i wouldn't stress if they're not expired, but if you're worried just email the company pics and ask for a replacement. most brands are cool about it.

Oh dear, I'm a grandparent and I'd say better safe than sorry! When my daughter was pregnant, she had something similar with her vitamins. We called the pharmacist and they said not to take them if texture changed significantly - something about the active ingredients possibly breaking down. Please don't risk it for you or the baby! Maybe return them to the store? Or like Frank said, contact the company. Your health is too important to chance it on questionable gummies.
