THREAD: Traveling with Prenatal Gummies - Do They Melt? TSA Tips?Started by IndigoIris381

Hey everyone! I'm heading on a trip next week - mix of flying and some hiking days. I've been taking these prenatal gummies religiously for months, but I'm worried about them melting in my bag during travel. Also, what's the deal with TSA? Can I just toss them in my carry-on? Any storage tips would be awesome!

OP, I feel you - I travel constantly for work. TSA-wise, gummies are fine in carry-on, no liquid limits. I keep mine in the original bottle with the label visible, just in case. For melting: I've had some get sticky on long flights. Pro tip: put them in a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if you're worried, or store in hotel fridge when you arrive. Road trips are easier - just don't leave them baking in the car!

Retired nurse here! Temperature matters for potency. Most gummies are stable up to 75-80°F, but sustained heat degrades nutrients. For hiking, use a cooler bag. Medically, consistency is key during pregnancy - don't skip doses due to travel. Also, check if your brand has travel packs. And yes, TSA allows them, but keep them accessible for screening if asked.

Thanks both! EarthElias440, the insulated bag idea is genius - gonna try that. XenonX206, good point about potency, I didn't think of that. My brand doesn't have travel packs, but I'll portion some into a small container. Follow-up: anyone had issues with gummies freezing if I use an ice pack? Worried about texture changes.

I've accidentally frozen mine before lol. They get super hard but thaw fine texture-wise. Just don't chew immediately after thawing - let them sit a bit. Honestly, better slightly frozen than melted into a blob! Safe travels!
