THREAD: Can I take probiotic gummies with my morning coffee? Safety concerns?Started by OP

Hey everyone, new here! I've been taking these probiotic gummies for about a month now (the brand with 5 billion CFU). I usually take them with my morning coffee because that's when I remember. But my friend said coffee might kill the probiotics? Is that true? Also wondering if it's safe to combine them with my daily multivitamin gummy - I take that one at lunch. Anyone have experience with this?

Honestly, the whole probiotic industry feels like a scam to me. They're not regulated like real medicine, and most studies are funded by the companies selling them. Coffee probably does kill some of those 'live cultures' - heat and acidity aren't great for bacteria. But honestly, even if they survive, do they actually DO anything? Save your money and just eat some yogurt.

As a yoga instructor, I focus on holistic wellness! I take my probiotic gummies first thing AM on empty stomach with room temp water - wait 30 mins before coffee or food. Coffee's acidity can compromise the probiotics' effectiveness. Also, spacing out supplements is key! I do probiotics AM, multivitamin PM. Listen to your gut (literally lol) - if you feel bloated or off, adjust timing! ☮️

Retired nurse here. Coffee won't harm YOU, but it might reduce the probiotic effectiveness as others said. The stomach acid is actually the bigger issue - that's why some brands have special coatings. As for safety: generally fine with multivitamins, but check if either has mega-doses of anything. No interactions I've seen in my practice, but always consult your actual doctor, not just internet folks!

OMG I LOVE this topic!! I've experimented SO much with this! I take my probiotic gummies WITH my adaptogen coffee blend - the synergy is AMAZING for gut-brain axis! But I use shelf-stable strains that survive acidity. Also, I rotate brands monthly for microbiome diversity! 🦠✨ My stack: probiotic gummy + lions mane + collagen in my coffee, then separate multivitamin gummy at noon. FEEL THE VIBRANCY!
