Yo, has anyone else been seeing sea moss gummies everywhere? I just read this article: [link] – it breaks down what they are, benefits, risks, etc. Basically says sea moss is some red algae superfood that's supposed to help with thyroid, digestion, immunity... but also warns about iodine overload and heavy metals. I'm curious if any of you have tried them? Do they actually do anything or is it just another trend? I'm all for natural supplements but I need some real feedback before I buy. Thanks!

I saw that article too! I'm more of a tech gadget guy, but I'm always down to try new health hacks if the science backs it. From what I've read, the evidence is pretty thin. Most of the benefits are anecdotal. Plus, some brands have been caught with high levels of heavy metals like lead and arsenic. That's a hard pass for me unless it's third-party tested. Anyone know a reputable brand? I'd rather stick to my multivitamin gummies from Costco, at least they're regulated.

OMG yes! I've been taking sea moss gummies for like 3 months now. I get the ones from a small brand that sources from the Caribbean. I gotta say, my digestion has never been better and my skin is glowing. But maybe it's placebo? I also started drinking more water and meditating, so who knows. The article is right about the risks though – you gotta be careful with iodine if you have thyroid issues. I had my levels checked before starting. I think they're worth trying but do your homework! 🌿

Ugh, another sugar bomb disguised as a health food. Most gummies are loaded with glucose syrup, sucrose, and artificial colors. If you're gonna take sea moss, just get the powder or capsules. No sugar, no fillers. I've been sugar-free for 5 years and it's amazing how many 'health' products are just candy. That article barely touched on the sugar content. SMH. If you want sea moss, buy the raw stuff and blend it in a smoothie. Way cheaper and no junk.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Ivy – good point about heavy metals, I'll look for third-party tested brands. Zen – glad it's working for you, but yeah, placebo is real. Rhino – I feel you on the sugar, but sometimes convenience wins. I might try the powder instead. Anyone else have experience with a specific brand? Let me know!
