THREAD: Shilajit Gummies + Coffee? Safe combo or bad idea?Started by QuantumQuincy898

Hey everyone, I've been taking Shilajit gummies for energy and focus (the ones from Ancient Roots brand). I'm also a hardcore coffee drinker - like 4-5 cups a day. Wondering if anyone's tried combining these? Is it safe to take the gummy with my morning coffee, or should I space them out? Worried about overstimulation or weird interactions.

OP, as a paleo dieter I avoid processed stuff, but I've researched shilajit (the resin form). Coffee + shilajit might mess with your adrenals long-term. Both are stimulants in different ways. Personally, I'd take the gummy with breakfast (real food like eggs) and wait 2 hrs before coffee. Ancient humans didn't have triple-shot lattes with their adaptogens lol.

From a yoga/ayurvedic perspective, shilajit is grounding (earth element) while coffee is more rajasic (agitating). Combining them might create imbalance. I take my shilajit gummy after morning meditation on empty stomach, then have herbal tea. Maybe try reducing coffee to 1-2 cups if you keep the gummies? Listen to your body's signals 🙏

GREAT QUESTION! I've experimented with this combo for 3 months. Shilajit contains fulvic acid which may enhance nutrient absorption from coffee's polyphenols BUT caffeine can increase heart rate and shilajit has trace minerals that might amplify that. My advice: start low (1 gummy + 1 cup), monitor BP if you can. Also check if your gummies have added caffeine (some do!). I journaled my effects if anyone wants data!
