THREAD: Traveling with Shilajit Gummies - Do They Melt? TSA Rules?Started by OP

Hey everyone! Planning a trip soon - mix of flying, road tripping, and some hiking. I've been taking Shilajit gummies daily and don't want to break my routine. Anyone have experience traveling with these? Main concerns: 1) Do they melt in heat (like in a car or backpack)? 2) What's the deal with TSA - are they cool with supplements? 3) Any storage tips to keep them fresh? Thanks in advance!

OP, I've traveled with my homemade nootropic gummies (similar base) extensively. They WILL soften/melt above 85°F. For road trips, keep them in a cooler or insulated bag. For hiking, morning/evening doses only - midday heat ruins them. TSA doesn't care about supplements in carry-ons (I've flown 20+ times with various blends). Pro tip: Use small silicone molds to make travel-sized portions - prevents whole batch from going bad if exposed.

As someone who documents my wellness journey across 7 countries ✈️🌍, I can confirm TSA has never questioned my shilajit gummies (I keep them in original packaging). However, QUALITY MATTERS! Cheap gummies with artificial ingredients melt faster. Invest in organic, gelatin-based ones - they hold up better. For storage, I use these cute airtight containers from my affiliate link (DM me!). Also, altitude changes during flights can make packaging puff up - just burp the container gently 😉

ugh traveling with kids means my shilajit gummies got left in a hot car once... total sticky mess. learned my lesson! now i use a small thermos with an ice pack for car trips. tsa didnt even look twice at them last month when we flew to disney. honestly the bigger issue is remembering to take them while chasing toddlers through airports 😴 if they do get soft, pop them in a hotel fridge for 20 mins - saves them usually

Seriously? You're worried about gummy supplements melting? Maybe that's your body telling you something... I tried shilajit once and felt nothing except lighter wallet. TSA has bigger things to worry about than your sticky vitamins. If you insist: keep them in your checked bag where temperature is more stable. Or better yet - take a break during travel and see if you actually notice any difference without them. Placebo effect doesn't need refrigeration.
