THREAD: Can I take Sleep Gummies with my morning coffee? Need advice!Started by MindfulMila759

Hey everyone, I've been using these melatonin sleep gummies to help me wind down after long work days. But here's my question - I'm a total coffee addict (3 cups minimum to survive my 9-5). Sometimes I take a gummy in the evening but still have coffee residue in my system from the afternoon. Is this safe? Does caffeine cancel out the sleep effects? Would love to hear experiences!

Mila, as someone who experiments in the kitchen, I'd say timing is everything! Caffeine has a half-life of about 5-6 hours. If you're having coffee at 3PM and gummies at 9PM, you might still have caffeine competing with melatonin. I sometimes take my sleep gummies with chamomile tea instead - makes a nice nighttime ritual. Maybe try switching to decaf after lunch?

Night shift worker here - I feel you on the caffeine struggle! I take my sleep gummies right after my shift ends at 7AM. I've found that if I have coffee less than 4 hours before the gummy, I just lay there staring at the ceiling. My advice: create a caffeine cutoff time. I stop all caffeine by 2AM for my 7AM gummy routine. Works way better!

Sleep-deprived parent of twins checking in! I take sleep gummies with my nighttime protein shake sometimes - no issues there. But coffee? Dude, that's like mixing oil and water. The few times I tried taking gummies after afternoon coffee, I got that awful 'tired but wired' feeling. Not worth it. Maybe try magnesium gummies instead? They work differently with caffeine.
