THREAD: My sleep gummies look weird - are they still safe to take?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I've been using these melatonin sleep gummies for a few months now and they've been great. But I just opened a new bottle and noticed something off. Some of them have turned a darker color, almost brownish, and a few are kinda hard and stuck together. They used to be soft and chewy. Has anyone else had this happen? Are they still safe to eat or should I toss them?

Bro, I've had protein bars do that when they get old or exposed to moisture. Usually it's just sugar bloom or they dried out. If they're not moldy or smell weird, they're probably fine. But honestly, for sleep stuff, you don't wanna mess with inconsistent dosing. I'd get a fresh bottle to be safe. Gotta prioritize that recovery sleep!

Omg yes! This happened with my first batch of CBD sleep gummies last year. The company told me it's called 'sugar bloom' - happens when humidity changes cause sugar to crystallize on the surface. They said it's harmless but might affect texture. I still ate mine (lol) and was fine, but the texture was gritty. Check the expiration date and maybe contact the brand? I'm always testing new ones if you want recommendations!

As someone who works nights, I rely on these things. Had similar issues when I left my bottle in the car during a hot week. They got all sticky and fused together. Pharmacist said it's usually safe if stored properly after, but potency might decrease. Now I keep mine in a cool, dark place. If yours are changing color though, that might be oxidation. Personally, I'd err on the side of caution and replace them. Bad sleep is brutal on shift work.
