THREAD: My toddler thinks my sleep gummies are candy - help!Started by CrystalCathy545

Hey everyone! So I started taking these new melatonin sleep gummies to help wind down after long days of content creation. Well, my 4-year-old spotted the bottle on the counter yesterday and started begging for 'the yummy bears.' I had to explain they're mommy's special vitamins, not candy! She got so upset she had a mini meltdown. Anyone else deal with this? They DO look exactly like gummy bears!

LOL been there! My husband almost ate my CBD sleep gummies thinking they were my regular gummies. I was like 'babe, those will knock you out cold!' He's a heavy coffee drinker like me (4 cups a day minimum) so he needs his caffeine, not sleep aids! Now I keep them in a childproof container on the top shelf. Maybe try that?

Omg the texture thing is real! My niece refuses to take any gummy vitamins because she says they're 'too chewy' compared to her regular fruit snacks. She's 6 and has very specific texture preferences - they need to be soft but not sticky, sweet but not too sweet. Have you tried the ones with a smoother texture? Some brands are better than others. Also, maybe let your daughter pick out her OWN gummy vitamins so she understands the difference?

As someone who lives on caffeine (3 energy drinks today already!), I feel this. My sleep gummies are my secret weapon for actually sleeping through the night. But yeah, they totally look like candy. My partner keeps almost taking them by accident too. Maybe put a big sticker on the bottle that says 'ADULT ONLY' or something? Or get one of those lock boxes if your kid is really persistent about getting into things.
