THREAD: Found Softgels on Sale at Costco - Too Good to Be True?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I was at Costco yesterday and saw their store-brand gummy softgels on sale for like half the price of the name brands. I'm talking a 3-month supply for less than $20! Has anyone tried these? Is the lower price a red flag for lower quality, or is this a total steal? I'm tempted to stock up but don't want to waste money on junk.

Med student here. Price doesn't always correlate with quality in supplements. Check the label - active ingredients should match higher-priced brands. Costco's Kirkland brand often uses the same manufacturers as premium ones. Look for USP verification or third-party testing seals. If it has those, it's probably fine. Without them, you're gambling on purity/potency.

Weekend warrior perspective: I've used those Costco softgels for my joint support! They work just as well as the expensive stuff for my post-hike recovery. The savings let me buy better protein powder lol. Just check the sugar content - some cheap brands load up on fillers. If the macros look clean, go for it!

As a meditation newbie trying to be mindful about what I consume... I'd be cautious. Sometimes cheaper supplements use synthetic versions of nutrients that don't absorb as well? But if JoyfulJack says they're verified, that's reassuring. Maybe buy a small bottle first to see if you notice any difference in how you feel?
