THREAD: Looking for gummy vitamin gift ideas - aging parent OR fitness friend?Started by OP

Hey everyone, need some advice! I want to buy a 'health pack' or some specific gummies as a gift. I'm torn between getting something for my mom (she's 68, pretty active but starting to have some joint issues) OR my buddy who's super into fitness (runs daily, lifts, the whole deal). Any recommendations for softgel gummies that would work for either? Not looking to break the bank but quality matters. Thanks!

OP, for your fitness friend, definitely check out gummies with BCAAs and electrolytes! I take some before long runs and they help with recovery. Look for ones with added collagen too - great for joints. I use 'FlexFuel Gummies' but there are cheaper options. For your mom, maybe something with glucosamine? But tbh, I'd prioritize your friend since fitness folks actually use this stuff daily. Your mom might just forget to take them lol.

MangoMia530, I disagree! Aging parents need support too. OP, for your mom, I'd recommend a multivitamin gummy with vitamin D and calcium - crucial for bone health at her age. My dad takes 'SilverSpoon Senior Gummies' and loves them. They're soft, easy to chew, and have no artificial junk. For your friend, maybe something with turmeric for inflammation? But really, gifting health to a parent shows such care. The fitness friend might already have their own routine.

Ugh, not to be that person but... are gummy vitamins even effective? Most are just sugar and gelatin with a sprinkle of vitamins. OP, save your money and get your mom a nice herbal tea set or your friend some quality workout gear instead. If you MUST buy gummies, at least check the labels - many have sketchy additives. 'Health packs' are often marketing gimmicks. Just my two cents!

Thanks all! MangoMia530 - good point about my friend actually using them. YogaYara - I do want to help my mom's joints. PlantPat821 - I hear you, but she likes gummies cause they're easy. Maybe I'll get my friend the fitness gummies and my mom a joint health one? Any specific brand recommendations that aren't full of junk? Appreciate the help!
